There's very little you need before starting, which is the point:
- A modern browser. The dashboard and every app you install are used through the browser - there's no desktop client to install for VCloud itself (individual apps may offer their own optional clients, like Nextcloud's sync client or Rocket.Chat's mobile apps, covered in their respective guides).
- A Google or GitLab account. VCloud sign-in goes through one of these two - see Single sign-on. If your organization will need everyone to sign in through a specific one of the two, decide that before inviting your team, since it's simplest to set once early on.
- A payment method, once you're ready to move past whatever your organization's initial plan allows - see Setting up billing. You don't need this on day one to start exploring.
What you explicitly don't need: a server, a cloud account, an operating system to patch, or any infrastructure of your own. See Philosophy for why that's the model.
